So you think you're fat ...

Well thats a little self centered of you.
There are people across the world who wish they were fat. They wish that they had enough money to waste on eating more than their fill every day.
There are people across the world who wish that the worst problem in their life was a little extra meat on their bones. They wish that their problems were pathetic enough that the only thing they had to worry about was the fact that they had to buy a large instead of a medium shirt today.
There are people across the world who can't gain weight even though they need to. People who try their hardest just to put on 5 pounds. And here you are, with your large shirt freaking out because you ate too much last night, because you couldn't take half an hour to go for a run, or to the gym today.
Hello Mr Conceited.

  1. so true. There's enough food to go around but we're stuffing our faces and holding out on those who need it more.

  2. I understand your point here, yet I dont think it would be appropriate to call some people "self centered". although I do understand and agree with your point, you can't throw those people under the bus. Everyone has self esteem issues. EVERYONE does.
"skinny" people think they're "fat" sometimes. I know I feel overweight if i gain pounds, but i dont obsess over it.
Some people in the world do not have access to money to buy the food that they need to gain or maintain a healthy weight, but also some people are overweight (for different reasons aka metabolism) and they can't help it. I know your not purposely targetting anyone, but i think its fair to say that we leave self esteem issues to the people who have them, without any negative name-calling and things like that.

  3. I have to say that I agree with what Courtney is saying :-) I think you have a point BUT everyones problems are diffferent. It's terrible that even in the world we live in today, there are still people dying because they dont have enough to eat. But it's also terrible that people have such low self esteem that they feel horrible about themselves for gaining a few pounds. We live in a messed up world. No one's problems are worse just DIFFERENT!

  4. It's amazing that we can have everything we need- food, shelter, family, etc. and yet we find ways of having problems. Third world people would laugh at us. More people on this earth wake up afraid they will be killed today, than live in Canada. And here we are spending all this time developing neurosis and psychosis issues. PERSPECTIVE would be a valuable thing. Maybe social media can show how bad people have it and we in the west could WAKE UP. Next blog? Having said that, people do have problems and there is nothing worse than having a problem and feeling so stuck about it- except starvation, homelessness, murder...
